Dear Gary:

Thank you for allowing me to attend Synergy Through Samba at the Contemporary Resort on March 31. As I’ve told many members of our management staff, I can’t remember the last time I participated in such an engaging, relevant and memorable seminar.

I was impressed by the depth of the experience; I made discoveries on many different levels. Not only did I have tremendous fun learning about the origins of Samba and various percussion instruments, but also gained confidence in my own creative ability. More importantly, I made immediate connections with the organizational challenges we face as we increase our staff at the Disney Institute. The importance of proper role casting, the difference between training and development, and the morale-boosting effects of cross-training are important messages I found as the afternoon progressed.

Since the program, I have maintained a high level of awareness of the importance of my role in relation to my department, and our department to the organizational whole, thanks to your musical analogies. And, coincidentally, I made several new friends in other divisions of the company while in your program. These will prove to be useful new contacts.

Although we were not able to act quickly enough to implement Synergy Through Samba for our May team-building event, there has been discussion in our human resources department about creating a larger event in the fall when all instructors are on board. You should be hearing from our HR manager in the near future.

I commend you for being an engaging facilitator and promoter of experiential learning. Best of luck, and I hope to samba with you again soon!

Sincerely,
